You can save 12Kg by under filling your tank by 12 litres and you can save even more weight if you like visiting forecourts

I wonder how much the car would have weighed had it been made by conventional steel rather then aluminium. The S8 has never been as quick as it should be. 400 BHP should have been the least for the D2 and 500 for the D3.
The new S8 is going to have a 4.0T V8 with 500ish BHP. About time we saw some turbos on an S8

I dont know, I kind of like it naturally aspired. the B6 S4 manual got to 60 in under 5 seconds (according to Motor Trend Mag), I bet if you converted the S8 to manual and dropped some kilos it could do it under 5 seconds. No need to mess with the engine.

Was hoping to see their 8 at ADI. In theory I should be able to make more meets this year as she passed her last MOT.

Its probably faster than that, +/-1.94s is a huge margin of error.
Looking on the web 0-60 should be somewhere between 6.1 and 6.3 sec? I really want to get a Performance box, its got a 10hz gps capability so should have a +/- 0.1s error. |

Anyone can bolt one on and up the output. Its crude, and it works. But I like to think Audi were going for something better and technically far harder to achieve, because ultimately a naturally aspirated engine delivers its power way more predictably and smoothly, that's class. And.... S8's were no slouch when they hit the scene, since when there's been a lot of time for others to play catch up.
