Default Adjusting headlights?

98 A8 with the HID's and the drivers side light is aimed too low. What is the procedure to aim the light? Thanks.

Also how do you remove the HID light? Someone installed a blueish kiddie looking one on the left and I'd like to put a stock bulb/unit on that side.

Thanks, I'm being told on other forums that the computer will just adjust them back to the way they were before and I need to go thru the vag com to reset them. Sounds like it may have to go thru my shop.

If you don't have Xenons, then there is no auto levelling system (usually) and they should be fine.

I think the question is are they factory xenons or after market HIDs?
Factory xenons are self levelling and after market HIDs aren't.

However, both headlights are initially adjusted (aligned) the same. Just that the factory Xenons will self level with a heavy load in the rear.

I'm assuming they are factory Xenons from what I'm seeing, is there any way to tell. And if they are factory Xenons does that mean I cannot adjust them without the vag com?

Certainly looks like factory Xenons.. Do you have the adjuster screws on the top?
