Default Cool?

Not only does it look great (look at them pumped up arches), but I've not been in anything as quick as a B5 RS 4 in my life, the acceleration is savage and brutal, and verges on scary, makes my plus feel slow.

Don't just take it from me, click this thread below.

Only slightly biased then.....

Sorry, its not cool to me. I think 10 years ago - Yes, drop dead unbelievably cool, but its not yet old enough to be a true classic, and not young enough to be a well specced every day driver.

B7 RS4 looks 'cooler' but, being normally aspirated probably is harder to tune up to mega bhp....

The B7 does look great too, but it will never cut it for me like the B5 does. The fact only 400 B5 models came to the UK and not many people know about them makes it cool, the B7 RS 4 isn't as fast as the B5 and attracts people that buy it because its 'an RS4' you know someone driving a B5 is a true enthusiast.

Thumbs up

My best man had a standard one about 5 years ago. Very quick - quicker than his current M3.

Most certainly cool! Owned a noggy blue b5 rs4 for a couple of years. Only sold it as the cams were starting to wear. Would definitely get one again!

Grizz from unit20 has a nice one. Scared the crap out of me when he took me out in his!

The B5 RS4 is ice-cold! The B7 may be more modern, but to me, the B5 is where its at. Only available as a wagon, just like the first RS model, the RS2 makes it more exclusive.

Every trip I make into Central London, I come across B7 RS4's. I can go two weeks in the West End without spotting a single B5 RS4. It's also the favourite amongst replicas. There are more enthusiasts both here and in the States clamouring for panels to converts B5 Sedans and Wagons. Demand for the parts are high, which has pushed the prices sky high, even used rear quarters cost more than brand new B7 items.

The B5 is most likely to attain cult status.

A question that seriously doesn't even need to be asked. These cars are drop-dead gorgeous, and with the right stance, look even harder. Still as gorgeous today, as they were then, and I think they've aged well
