Alternator
Have the red battery warning light of doom showing so presume I need a new alternator, any recommendations for a reasonably priced replacement please?
Also would be grateful if anyone with access to these things could provide me a part no 2002 D2 S8 thanks

077903015K. They are basically unobtanium in the UK these days but can still be bought from Germany. ECP will happily sell you the wrong one, motor factors just tend to shrug. All the online outlets seem to be out of stock or will sell you the same part from a Lamborghini Gallardo for £1000.

I had exactly the same problem with my D2 S8 after 200,000 miles…
I did not replace the alternator but just the regulator part on it which has solved all the problems and worked perfectly for mine. The contacts had just worn out so much that they no longer connected properly hence no current could be delivered back to the car.
