I made a 'box' as well although not fully finished yet, needs a bit of noise insulation on the exhaust side and also around air supplying fan. Noise gone down from 85dB to 50 with external fan off and 60-65dB with fan on. There is space for 10 miners but at the moment only 5 in there.

The problem with the L3 is that it has those extra ventilation grilles above the fans, so any enclosure needs additional fans to vent the heat from those grilles ... but then the L3 isn't as noisy as the S9 anyway.
Yeah I've got s9 and a3 in box like this the L3's are in the shed keeping mike bike warm

I baffled the inlet side with foam so the intake fan is sealed from the exhaust side

seems to work just fine so far

Decided finally to switch AMD cards over to CryptoNote-V7 as it looked like C-V7 was bringing the same income but lower power consumption, less noise and heat. So I compiled the latest version of of xmr-stak with 0% fee and gave it a try ( attached if anybody wants to use it). It was about the same money on NiceHash but renting out on MRR seemed a bit slow for this algo So I decided to check out other new algos on xmr-stak. CryptoNote-Heavy is bringing in 3x as much and rigs are pretty much sold out on MRR as well. So I gave it a go with Haven being mined when not rented out which is also earning 3x value of ETH or XMR per card. It got rented out very quickly as well. Have not measured power consumption yet but the noise from cards seems to be more comparable to Eth mining rather than XMR. Just need to switch over other 2 rigs

Edit Other 2 switched over now as well

Need to consider switching 1080 Tis to CN-Heavy as well even if they are not performing that well on CN, - a bit slower than RX580. Currently they earning about 0.00055BTC per day for a pair on Equihash but should be around or a bit above 0.0009BTC on CN-Heavy, 2 days still left on rental so need to wait.

Bitmain also announced Antminer B3 for Bytom to go on sale tomorrow morning 3am UTC, not much info available yet but seems interesting concept using Tensor Artificial Intelligence chips which presumably can be reused for AI when mining becomes unavailable.

Ordered B3 from the second batch( shipping May 10-20) together with friend 50/50, too much unknown to risk it on my own. Bought $420 coupon on ebay first for £120 and then B3, it was £120 for coupon + about £920 in BTC for miner and shipping after applying coupon, expecting about £195 in custom charges and will use regular PC power supply as it only needs 360W. Will see how it turns out, like I said there was too much unknown to risk it on my own but Bitmain has plenty of influence so hopefully it will turn out OK, look at BCH, If Bitmain did not force it as only method they accepted for a while I am not sure it would be where it is now without Bitmain, if you lokk at other forks of BTC or LCC they are nowhere near as valuable. Fingers crossed.

PS: AMD RX cars doing very well on CN-Heavy, after initial £3/day it went down to under £2/day and now gone up again and earning over £4/day per RX480/580 card on MRR. Vegas have potential to earn over £9/day and price for them on e-bay have gone under £600 so might look into buying some again.

I have 12 of $100 coupons as well but you can only use 1 per miner so it worked out cheaper for me to buy $420 rather than use my own. I also had my own $350, $200 and $125 that I have already used. If you have any $300+ coupons I might buy some off you next time.

I ordered a B3 too. I figured it was worth a punt, assuming they really are limiting the supply (to 2500 units I think I read). And at just 360W it's something I can leave running all year round (assuming it remains profitable).

That was 2500 units in batch 1 (shipping date May 01-10) that was sold out in first day or two. There is no overall limit. I bought mine from the 2nd batch.
