Surely you need a red one?

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Apologies MJ, I did not word that very well.
I meant "articulated".
It is several separate rigid pieces that clip together after the supports etc. are stripped off.

For colour are you aware that you can electroplate the finished model?
There are kits available with a small brush, something to plug into the mains and different solutions for different finishes. First you have to spray the object with a metallic undercoat (nickel), connect the electric thingy then paint the solution where you want the coating. Better than dunking the model in a bath of solution.
I'll try and find the YouTube and let you have the address.

Here is one of them

Looking at these kits at the moment for a potential job, and that video you linked to was quite informative.

Thanks for the link. I suspect that process is not economically viable in this instance though, since the market for £200 nickel plated knobs is probably quite small

I realise not cost effective but I'm looking at one of's and am not considering the cost.
After all I have just raided my piggy bank to replace my tailights with face lifts. Big improvement.
The dragon is printing well, I'll post a photie when it is finished.

Good work with the printer. I'm impressed. I've had a VERY large format delta for a few years but not done much useful with it. A few lightshades round the house (305mm diameter bed with a 400mm height, so yes, it's a big one. It's no doing a lot currently if someone was seriously interested in having one. My problem is the drawing, I can do basic stuff but the time required to draw the spotlight grilles just made it a no chance for me. I also have a Kinect V2 for Windows which I did some scanning with but the results were always a bit ropey. The hardware is incredible, the scanning software less so. I've also experimented with different materials and print heads. (I did spend 15 years in the plastics packaging industry and have a degree in material science and was the first person in the UK to extrude PLA on an industrial scale) Much of what I know has been superseded by the youtube generation practical, real experience (which is a good thing I learned TONS of stuff off the tinterweb).
