Have you done a VCDS scan since fitting it? I think it's in 35, Central Locking.

Did you check the connector before you swapped it over? Its quite common for the leaking battery acid to eat the terminals in the connector.

Terminal is ok, no damage.

Only error that came up was no communication from horn, but once i cleared it, locked/unlocked the car and it didn't come back.

Don't know if central locking pump is playing up as boot lights stopped working again.

Little update. Horn does work, accidentally set alarm off and it was beeping. I think the hazard lights and horn not sounding when locking/unlocking is coding issue.

They certainly are optional through coding.

All coded in 2 flashes when unlocking, 1 flash + a beep when locking. Well chuffed.

Also figured out why boot shows open at all times, little plastic part inside latch is broken and that also operates boot interior lights.

Fu**ed up and didn't attach the rod that operates latch back on and closed the boot so looks like I'll be smashing the light up to open it

I hate to say I told you so, but I did warn you about that plastic part earlier......

Sorry to hear about the latch rod, do you have a ski hatch?
There's also a method documented somewhere of cutting through behind the numberplate to get at the latch when the rod is detached.

Edit: Have a read of this: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=12012 though it may not work, depending which end is detached.....
