Default Coolant Low after new Radiator fitted

Hi All

Just a quick one to see what you all think of this
At the start of November I had the radiator replaced due to it leaking. Gave it a small top up the day after the work was done back in November
But today checked it as I was topping up the washer fuild and found that it was just under the MIN make..The car as not overheated and no warning light on Dash.

Would this be likeiy to be just the fact that it may have needed another top up as the whole system was drained and replaced with new coolant.
Just what to see what you all think, if I need to worry …and dig into the piggy bank or if that sound normal taking into account what was done.

Thanks everyone.
Steve

Audi recommend refilling the system by a vacuum method as this removes all air locks. The garage may not have used that method and used the bleeding points to evacuate the air instead, which is fine, but may have had a small amount of air in the system.

I think it's nothing to worry about as this little bit of trapped air has found its way to the coolant tank after driving.

Will its been a week of fun and games with this one the Rad that is fitted to my car is PN 4E0121251C it had two big holes on one side and on the other there is one.
Now this one is has been superseded by 4E0121251E or G. BUT this new one has 4 holes 2 big one on one side but also 2 small ones on the other side.
The old one was stoped in 2007

The olny was I can get this one to fit is to blank of the extra hole and just use the 3 as in the old one.

This is the lay out og the old one

Plenty of brand new aftermarket ones on german ebay with just the three holes.

Or you could take a punt on this used genuine one, again on german ebay.

You maybe stuck with pattern parts otherwise, it looks like the part changed at the second facelft and was later discountinued from Audi.
