Default Timing belt question....weird

Maybe some one can help
We just did a timing kit on my d3 4.2 petrol (water pump, tensioner, belt) the lot
After test drive timing belt lost its tension, tensioner was all the way down
We moved the engine using spanner and tension came back to normal
We checked the tensioner and all seems fine
Why belt lost its tension?
We put the timing tool on as well and timing wasn't off at all
Any ideas?

Was the damper changed as well? My D2 experienced similar symptoms with old damper and another D2 I know off even jumped belt couple of teeth because damper was not changed.

I was changing my timing belt on my d2 4.2 this morning until i had the wrong belt supplied to me.

I noticed also that you can manipulate the belt to become dangerously slack in one part. Cant speak for the new belt until i get the correct one.

How much is one from TPS or dealer? (just the belt)

So it is a timing chain tensioner failed on bank 2
When engine switched off oil pressure drops, tensioner is sagging causing cams to twist backward and as a result timing belt looses it tension
Boom this car is a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't think will buy an audi again
