Service 2 light rest.
Can anyone advise best way to reset this on my audi a8 4.2 1998
I tried this http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...&_sop=15&_sc=1 Doenst work, im thinking because my car has variable service intervals and that tool only does standard intervals. Will a cheap ebay wire and vagcom 409.1 reset this light for me. ? Will i need the full 99 USD license or a full VCDS thingy. Or is there a better way. Already tried holding 0.00 button and turning on ignition no joy either. Last edited by hype1; 3rd April 2012 at 08:12 PM.

Cheers mate do you have registered vagcom on the shareware to do it ?
Apart from that i suppose its just follow the sticky and set to 0 and save. Those VAg reset things dont seem too good. But they sold 1000s. Maybe my cars to old.
