Bluetooth
As some of you know I recently bought an RS6, 2008 model MMI 2G version 5140, since getting it I have not been able to get the BT working properly.
Car was scanned and BT module was goosed. Replaced BT module with a second hand one, phone connected fine and calls made and received fine except the person at other end couldn't hear me. Replaced MIC with new one from TPS and they still couldn't hear me. Scanned again and no faults with BT module, but a fault /error with MIC which we assumed was stored from old MIC, cleared fault and tried phone again, still no change, but MIC fault now gone. Both replaced BT module and MIC now scanning fault/error free and coding looks OK as far as our limited knowledge of VCDS goes. Also checked MIC was switched on in MMI. Firstly thanks to David's8 for his help with VCDS but we are now stumped and hoping some one can suggest what we can try next please. Thanks in advance

You could try using vagcom to adjust the bluetooth microphone sensitvity -
Hidden menu > Diagnose >Settings >Mic sensitivity Then choose -6db/0db/+6db

Theres also a setting for the mic for cars with sds, that may have been turned on as that stops the bluetooth using the mic. (Somewhere in vcds but can't remember where)

Which could still point to the mic being incorrectly coded.

we could be getting somewhere here maybe, cos looking at the build sheet it does say "QH3 Voice control" is within the spec...
