Hi Guys and Girls
Is there any interest from anyone on here.
Looks in fairly good nick and only 79,000 mile.
Shows as Cat C rear end and possible head gasket gone.
They are open to offers as well

This was on autotrader a few months ago...shame, hasn't lasted long.

Exactly how my last black one ended up just over a year ago as well.

£2750 with both the damage AND an undiagnosed overheating issue? (I wouldnt trust the garage "statement" without having more specific diagnosis - compression test or oil/water contamination. Could be thermostat, for instance). IMHO we are talking about, say, £500 - 900 for the overheating issue and and maybe another £1k to sort out the rear end. It is low mileage but has no evidence of gearbox service, cambelt etc change (which kind of supports 'stat/water pump cause of overheating).
Perhaps worth a visit if you were in the market.

I did note that and the fact that it has been a known centre of some car scams lately. Caveat emptor

I hate adverts that hide the registration too. What is there to hide? As soon as I see any advert with hidden reg I just close the ad and move on.

Its annoying, but I thought people did it because they were worried any random person from the web could find out where they live? If that's the case I don't mind.
I think I am guilty of this too, purely because I thought it is possible for unscrupulous persons to use the license plate to find out the address the car is registered at with the DVLA.
Happy to be proven wrong, but it is a worry.

Not sure Joe Public can get address details, in any case how many people see your registration plate every day, I reckon many hundreds at least..and if they wanted they could follow you home

True, true, but the chances of people on the street being dodgy is small, and they have to really be paying attention to catch and remember a plate.
The worry is the web is open to literally billions, more chance of dodgyness.
Saying that, I don't think D2s are very sought after now, I would not worry any more unless I was selling a RS6 or something similar. Then I definitely would blank out the plate.
