This is exactly what im talking about .. people underestimate just how much you can squeese out of the w12 a d2 s8 de cat and remap with a free flow exhaust will fetch an extra 40 horses no problem. Your talking an engine one and a half times the size in the W12. If not 80 bhp at least 60.i used the rule of thum in a % over current hp off the inter web on a forum by the way not my own formula and just divided it by the number of what are essentially small engines in the w12

Just a decat on a 1.5L engine would free up as much as 18-23 bhp dose not sound much but remember ... the w12 has 4 of thease one for each bank of 3 so thats a potential extra 80 or so bhp couple that with a free flow exhaust maybe 15-20bhp
You were saying just a decat gives 18-23BHP on 1.5 and 80BHP on W12, that was what I opposed. Decat, exhaust + remap might reach extra 80BHP on W12, just decat -no way.

Potentially I said. There not exact figures but based on a formula on a web site that works out a % of current hp and de catted power ect ... may have been for turbo charged cars lol but non the less still a fair amount more power to be had out of them than what people say there is. An extra 80 bhp from a de cat and remap would sit nice with me thats for sure.

It's not a nice job to crop a w12 motor , you even have to strip the trim from the drivers side footwell as the engine loom is routed there .

De cating a D2 Is easy , the w12 is going to be a pig ..

Default Mot

Am I missing something here, how you planning on passing an MOT emissions test with no catalyst(s)? Or with an engine check light on which you'll get when the O2 sensors detect no cats are present.

What was the physical location of the O2 sensor?

I have seen this on my W12 as an intermittent fault - although it is on far more than it is off!

VCDS is unable to clear the fault as it pops straight back but strangely when it was last serviced by Audi it had cleared when I picked the car up.

Likewise today when I picked it up from an independent Audi dealer it had also cleared although I expect it to return shortly!

Thanks & kind regards,
