Well my "garage" (garden shed really - you've seen the photos!) which is on the same plot of land is indeed in a different postcode to the house.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.).
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Thread resurrection

I'm back!!!

well, seems a rather weird co-incidence in this thread for cozza , firstly I work in Knutsford but live in Accrington,

secondly

yes, I owned R887DNA for a year and described on here my rather eventful ownership of it (gearbox going 6 weeks in, rebuilt at 2.5K, went again, water leak that cost > 1K at mates rates to chase, TPS sensor and a few other bits. )

but heres the rub, it was me that owned and converted L43 NEC to LPG! I owned that car ~ 3 years before I bought the A8 ( had a V70 T5 in between ). I'm glad to see the old bus is still going even if she is a little tired. When I sold her she had a quirk that occasionally when you switched her on she would be as dead as a dodo, 3 or 4 goes later it would all spring to life, then it wouldn't do it again for anywhere between 2 weeks and 4 months.

I still have in the garage the lowered progressive springs I bought for her just before I sold her. If you want them let me know and I'll drop them off....

Ian
