A couple of issues.

My 2011 A8 3.0 tdi se executive is presenting a couple of issues, can anybody shed any light.
Firstly there is a strange sound ( whirring / buzzing )coming from just behind the mmi screen intermittently.
Secondly the fuel economy is bad.
On idle the display is showing between 8 to 12 mpg and on a good motorway run its saying 30 mpg
Anybody with info is greatly appreciated.
I've got it booked in to Audi on Thursday for them to investigate issues and they are saying its a £60 investigation charge. I highlighted that the car has an Audi extended warranty. Should I be paying this charge

If it's got an extended warranty, then that should be free.. They seem to have to check it when it goes in though as the normal system doesn't tell them for some reason.

Is your MMI set for UK units or US?
