They do sell out very quickly even at higher prices. Both L3+ batches also sold out fast today.

Looks like the giant b might be getting tested.

How long before they go on sale and how much?

Some greedy third party sellers are advertising them at 12k.

Part of me thinks this will be like the d3 miners, once that hashing power comes online the profitability will drop off at an alarming rate.

I'd still buy one if we can get a group buy on the go but I'm not paying 12k. Better off putting that kind of money into other things.

Nobody knows for sure, it does support several algorithms so the hashing power will spread and migrate between several networks. BaikalMiner is smaller company than Bitmain so I don't think they will ship in volumes that Bitmain does. If you look at their Twitter profile they only have 6k followers while Bitmain have 75k so smaller potential customer base as well.

Price is anybody's guess and it's unknown if there will be minimum order qty. Giant X10 was $1399 +$135 shipping, without MOQ. I was going to order one and was invoiced but narrowly missed out while trying to work bank fees at their end to make sure I transfer enough money it was sold out. At the time I thought maybe it's for the best as I was also assuming it could be like D3 but Giant X10 was shipping 20-30th December so most would be online by now but profitability is still great, it did drop a bit for a while but now it's gone even higher. D3 is not that bad either, it did drop to £5/day in November with £3 running costs but now they do £10-15/day again on MRR most days.

So based on this I am definitely interested in buying 1 if it's similar price as Giant X10, not sure if I would buy more than 1 or pay much more.

Hi There,

Definitely interested in the B...Happy with a group buy too. BTW have a look at Revolut on android and get it, if dealing with fiat in other currencies as there would be NO FEEs to get complicated about. I buy European festival tickets each year via it and it works excelently and also gives bank transfer rates, MUCH better than using your normal bank!!!

Oh and if you want to get it use http://revolut.com/r/leeoxn3!crypto as i'm trying to unlock and see what it's crypto functions are like as it may be a nice way to cash out into some holiday funds for the summer

A bit faster than S9, same power consumption as latest S9 batches and potentially a bit cheaper but MOQ 6 and currently OOS

Yeah....I saw that on ebay by, i'm guessing a scammer. Did a little research and it seems to be talked about, but i've not heard of anyone having or seeing one!

If it exists and takes away from Bitmain, I can see them coming out with a new miner as they've been pretty relaxed on Sha256 for a while as why max out a market when you're doing nicely at the top of the market and have no competition anyway, which is why the S9 has done SOOOOO well rather than being at the mercy of an arms race and obsolete within months, arguably like the D3 was......I mean *WHY* rapidly up the difficulty as the networks balances an increase in hashing power etc

First of DragonMint that were ordered at the end of November are supposed to ship in March, it's not a massive improvement, only about 14% so not going to make much difference. Bitmain also has their own mining farms and a stake in others so it's understandable that they are not in the rush to release anything more powerful/efficient while there is no competition. They do have a share but I don't know how big in what was the largest farm in world at the time located in Mongolia with 21k S9's. What would they do with all those S9's if they released something 2x more efficient. Who knows if they have something up their sleeve or not. Maybe they just concentrated most R&D for Sophon AI and directed most of resources there.

Welcome Kev

I'm guessing you know Ainars, judging by your location?
