Default Afternoon Everybody

Just wanted to say Hi as a new Audi A8 owner, well its not new but i picked it up last week and ever since i've either been looking out the window at it, sitting in it or driving.

Its a 4.2 quattro A8L, has a couple of costmetic issues but thanks to the forum i've already determined them to be common issues like the gear needed for the MMI and the door pullout storage hinges.

Again thanks to the forum i've updated the MMI to 5570 yesterday but found out i dont have a bluetooth module, i do have a phone built in that appears to connect to bluetooth but the update doesnt see anything to update.

Really happy with it though, just love its smoothness as it just glides, Pictures speak a 1K words so i'll have to see about uploading some.

Ian

As promised heres a few pics.

I'd been trying to decide for ages and was settled on either a 7 series or an A8, i would of loved a CLS but diddnt want to finance a balance as "I" want to own my car

I'd test drove this the week before and was blown away with the V8, i checked insurance tax etc to make sure they were feasable, i got the vehicle checked and it came back with a plate changed which paperwork prooved to be a private plate.

Really i had no reason not to go for it then the suspension collapsed on my Laguna and x2 hours later i'd put a deposit down.

Theres a few cosmetic things i'll work on but i think i did well

welcome to the forum, where are you based?

Think I saw that one on Autotrader up until recently.

From pics though, looks like a SWB, not an A8L

Cheers guys, it was on autotrader but the garage was more of a "trade" garage then a "come in sit down have a cup of tea" kind.

I diddnt think it was an L either, certainly loads of leg room and the DVLA records came back as an L as well, insurance picked up on the L as well.

Mutley ?, ah well - its a nickname thats stuck for years - i laugh like Mutley lol
