Default What kind of lights do I have?

Hi,

Just wondering if somebody could help me work out what kind of lights these are?

I think they may be bi-xenons but there is also this bulb that points sideways that lights up when I turn the wheel

Thanks

Adaptive bixenons (that swivel)
Adaptive cornering lights (35 H8 IIRC)
Can't see the bulb but looks like a 21W DRL that can be setup in the MMI menus.
These were the top of the range lights apart from the S8 that got LED DRLS.

Thanks, i kind of worked some of that out since posting it just by looking at others but good to know.

I replaced the HID bulbs with a pair of Osram Xenarc Night Breaker Laser D2S (pain in the arse job) and really happy with results so far. Massive jump up from my dim bulbs on my old D2.

Glad your new bulbs are better.
The main problem with these headlights is the silvering on the reflectors turns matt beige and tarnished after a few years reducing light output and making them slightly yellower. The only solution on 2005 facelift >on models is new headlights or cut the housings open and replace with an aftermarket clone projector such as EVO-R 2.0 and then seal the light back up (or of course new light assembly but the same would probably happen again).
Before 2005 (split grille) the projector has no swivel function can be unscrewed and withdrawn from behind without cutting the light open.
