laptop requirements
just waiting for my lead to come in the post. wanted to know if vag-com will work on any laptop. i already have a laptop but it is quite large and i use it for many other things. thought it would be best if i bought a new one just for use in the car. will this one be ok or do i need something a bit better ? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172718

I didnt really answer your direct question - ! - Yes, that laptop would do fine, but for £200 I'd rather get a second hand job for £50 off fleabay and put £150 towards toys for my motor

thanks for your advise ian. i have just been on fleabay and bought one of those panasonic tough books. its a normal laptop that you can drop or even drive over without damage. only paid 70 quid for it.will probably need a new battery but i should be able to get one cheap. already have an inverter in the boot so i should be covered.

I agree with Ian although I have a s****y £250 Samsung notebook with Windows 7 and 10 hour battery life which I purely use just for Vag Com! Will be handy for Germany.

i am going to run xp on it. i have paid 13quid extra for the memory upgrade. i know its still not much compared to new laptops but it should work ok with vag-com. i am also going to try and put on elsawin. it wont work on my own laptop as i have windows 7 ultimate so hopefully it will work on the panasonic
