Another day has passed, and the agonising continues!
  Taking in everyone's comments, I have offered by friend first dibbs on the Milltek and the wheel/tyres. I think it sensible to get the car back to standard and then offer it for sale at "the going rate" plus a wee bit for mileage/condition. I just can't fight it any more

Agonising? I just don't understand exchanging such a car for sport coupe, which has no that discreet, reserved bourgeoisie elegance of A8.
Your car seems to be in great condition. It's a pity I have no space to keep another car. Advice: sell SL55 when it gets warmer. Sport cars are childish. A8 owner don't need car like this  ... and hard top will leak ...

OK, I have decided to sell the S8. Need to give her a clean and get some nice photos done to advertise her on here and on Pistonheads.
Weather permitting - about a week or so. I haven't used the car in over a month now, and should I keep her, I can't see me putting more than 2k miles on her in the next 12 months - crazy really to keep it and hardly use it! Will advertise with the "extras" and see what happens. Watch this space!
