Default A8OC Annual Meet -Routes to the venue.

I've been looking at the route planner for routes to the venue from London. Fortunately the suggested best route on google maps route is the one I would have chosen myself. M1 or A1 North to the M18, M62, A614 to Driffield, then north on the B roads to East Ayton.

But I would like to suggest a detour if anyone wants to drive over one of our greatest bridges, the Humber bridge.(was the longest single span in the world, now 5th, but still impressive with a near one mile span at 1410m) If you are interested, I would suggest taking the A1 North, A46 to Lincoln, A15 North to M180, then back on the A15 to the Bridge. Once over the bridge, its north to Beverley and rejoin the B road route to East Ayton at Driffield.

Plus does anyone fancy driving up together?

I'll be coming over the M62 but subject to the vagaries of international travel... Hopefully leaving Manchester Airport about 8:30.

I plan to leave from Bushey at 1pm on Friday or thereabouts. Probably go A1 as I generally prefer it to the M1, but I may be persuaded otherwise.

Well sorry to be a party pooper but not sure if I'll be there now or not - the gearbox isnt gonna be finished on the '8 and I'd hate to roll up with half an
eight
Maybe if i put a new A8 badge on it, it will look like a new 8 until it gets closer, and smaller. . . .

Come on up Neil, the meet is for A8 owners, you'll still have a great time and it will be good to see you.

Refro,
it seems due to very late unforseen circumstances I won't be able to make it up to the meet now so if you want to pop in for your air mass meter I'll be in all day tomorrow now.

I'm gutted I won't be going. Have a good one guys. Hope the weather holds out for some good pics!
