Hi Scott
I guess that depends on whose computer is used for the presentations . . . Hmm
I'll talk to a8 parts and see if the can bring one and report back as theirs will probably have both ETKA and VAGCOM on it. . . . Thanks

I can supply the laptop and Projector mate.

The only thing I don't have is a working ELSA.

Let me know. I can get hold of a Projector.

Thanks Scott that's a great help, yes would be good if we have laptop, projector and screen from one source then at least we know they all work together, the presentations can be loaded on from USB sticks so we just need to make sure that we've covered any other software requirements - I'll get back to you

Hi everyone

Just want to confirm that I'm booked in Dolgun Uchaf, same place where Scott is staying.

I'll be coming with someone for sure, missus or missus and little one or one of my mates, not sure yet.

As for the stuff mentioned above, I could also help out if needed. I've got a laptop and a laptop/tablet both with working ELSA and ETKA and VAGCOM inc ross tech cable, also long throw projector with remote control, no screen tho, but we could either use wall, or we could buy a £20 screen or I will even look at work if we have one laying around.

Dropping off car to bodyshop tomorrow, again, it becomes almost a tradition (an@l habit) before each meet

The ''big'' mod is almost confirmed as well and will provisionally be fitted on D3s weekend before the meet.

Set of PZero's being fitted week after for them twisty Welsh roads

I know I'm not so active recently even after announcing come back, but all the building projects I have planned just keep on giving, but I WILL BE THERE, and I can't bloody wait.

Will think about the prize donation next week and will update you all later on.

Car is doing very well, new suspension components fitted not so long ago together with some other bits so all it needs is a week or maybe two of cleaning, polishing, waxing, more cleaning, engine bay especially so the countdown starts next week for me.

To the organizators:
Guys, would you say the event is 5-year old friendly or not so much???
I don't mind either way, but if I can avoid whinging coming from the back seat and carrying extra weight around the corners, I'll be more than happy to bring just one passenger.

Hi Marcin - great to hear that you're coming and thanks for the offer on the laptop and projector. - I will liaise with you and Scott to organise something that suits for the meet
Thanks also for any prize donation you can manage, much appreciated!
On the 5 year old friendly or not I would say there is a mixture of scenic driving with a stop for a break at an attraction for one half of the day, and local test drives and looking at sporty audis from Inchcape on the other half of the day. Of course if anyone wants to go off and do local things during that half of the day in nearby Dolgellau then that's fine too! The evening will be a sit down meal with a quick tombola afterwards then socialising. We have always tried to be as child friendly as possible, so I guess it just depends on how you think your particular child would like that agenda or would they get bored?! I think that there are a few others bringing kids (Sergey, Gordon and others) and I'm sure that some wives and other halves will want to do their own thing as well at some stage during the weekend!!

Hello mate, I hope you are well, it has been a while isn't it.
I may have no option but bring them both.....or......leave them both at home
We will see, I'm definitely coming Friday-Sunday

Neil, how "formal" a meal, SWMBO is already fretting over what to wear, and as we are going away soon and this is on our return route she demands to know these things sooner rather than later!

Will we be asked for menu choices at some stage?

PS Working on a prize - something liquid with a Scottish flavour is probable, but I'll confirm soon.

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

It will be an informal gathering of friends as far As I'm concerned Andrew so just wear whatever clothes you're comfortable in for socialising for the evening
Menu choices - we will ask Jim at the Hotel for a menu a couple of weeks before the event - I'm sure he would appreciate a heads up.

Thanks for offering a prize, we just have to make sure we don't drink that kind of prize before its given out!!

Well after last year when I did rather well both from the raffle and the whisky-tasting it's the least I can do.

So, assume I'll bring a bottle of Scotch, just got to decide what variety, so many choices .....

I'm sorry to say i won't be joining you all this year. I have looked at my social diary and work diary and something has to give. Currently I have social or work engagements booked for every weekend from now until 18th July, so I need to work some space in for just being at home, so unfortunately I'm going to duck out of a weekend in Wales.

I have roomed booked at the George III, which I would happily pass on to someone else. If you want a double room at the venue for the meet, please PM me. First person to do so can have it. I'll need your name and tel no. at the very least to pass on to the hotel, so please include that in your message.

Reffro

08/05/ - Now cancelled my booking at George III
