Darren.. if you have W7 ultimate, you can get XP mode from the MS site, that will let you install ELSAWin in a virtual copy of XP to run on your W7 box.

Also.. If anyone is looking for a netbook to run VAG-COM, etc on, the Dell outlet had a stack of Mini 10 units for about £150-160 delivered recently (purchase was vetoed )

Ian.. I'm running a 3 year old Athlon X2 and it works for me

Guys,

You could do it with VMWare Server (free) and create a virtual machine with XP in it. Or it may even run under WINE I tend to run stuff like ELSAWin under XP Virtual Machines, that way they don't install crap on my main install, but I am a techie.

Let the geek wars begin

Darren - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/vir.../download.aspx should help you out.

As I've never owned a Vag-Com lead before can anybody tell me if it's a USB connector or other?

if you're running just XP, you could squeeze it in 512Mb, but 1Gb would be favourite.
