I see that MJ has hit post number 2999. One to go. I think that i can honestly say that never has so much been owed by so few to so many [posts]

100% agree: I'm only about 200 posts behind her - admittedly over a longer period - but hers have been at least 100 times more valuable than mine

MJ congratulations, but while you're posting so productively are you also picking up your Forum messages OK? You sent me one a few days ago (about a Cruise Control Stalk) and I replied, but I don't think you've seen it.....

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

No rush, just send the stalk if it's ready to go, I'm not going anywhere soon......

I have entertained the idea of collecting MJ posts and make a repair/service manual in pdf format. If I were to do that, I would of course give the file(s) to you first MJ. For your approval or refusal after having inspected the document.

Possibly, one has to do this in chapters, step by step. After all, 3000+ postings will take major research to be up to MJ´s expertise

You could then sell it on to Audi dealers, it'd teach their "master technicians" a thing or two!
