(Rear interior lights are a problem I've had and documented here; IIRC the solution for me was to resolder some dry joints in the switch block in the rear interior light unit. I have a spare unit now that I "fixed" in beige)

Back on boot latch switches. They are just held in by a plastic flap/clip and are dead easy to replace, just can't recall if you can do that in situ.
My problem was the plastic parts that actuate the switch, they broke and jammed the latch.
Here's 2 good ones I have immediately to hand:
Took out the "Central Locking Alarm System and and Interior Lights Control Module" and found 2 dry joints. Soldered them up and interior lights in the boot work now. But still when unlocking rear lights don't come on (as I write this loose plug maybe?). Another thing, alarm horn doesn't work. There is 12v supply but when locking/unlocking there is only 0.03v

If you mean rear interior lights in the rear centre headlining, that's the unit I was referring to that had dry joints in. Comes out and dismantles quite easily.
Due to the way it interacts with the front lighting unit and switches you can get some very weird behaviour. Do any of the lights in it work, e.g. when operating the switches on it or the front unit? If not it could just be disconnected or have failed bulbs.

Alarm horn is a common problem, what does a VCDS scan say (probably low voltage)? Almost certainly interior rechargeable batteries in the horn are shot, quite probably corroding the circuits as well.

I found dry joints inside the vacuum pump for central locking.

I have since removed centre light and there is visible corrosion so I'll try and clean it all up and check soldering too. They only come on when I operate front switch.

Is the rechargeable battery inside the actual horn? Because low voltage was at the plug itself?

Yes, inside the unit, buried in the left rear wing.

Does sound like the rear unit has poor/open contacts.

In that case I should still get 12v on onlock/lock at the car side?

I've no idea, there are more than 2 wires to the alarm horn, someone else may know how the system works.

There are 3 on mine, earth is good and 1 wire has permanent 12v 3rd one when locking/unlocking only shows 0.03v.

The issue might still be with the battery inside the unit having corroded, and in doing so, has corroded parts of the PCB inside. There is a link in my signature of when I changed mine, along with pictures of the internals.

Remember this is a security system, so that 3rd wire is definitely NOT a simple voltage on/off, I'd presume there's a 2-way signalling protocol on it.

Good point.

Opened mine up and it's a toast, looks same as yours.

Also found dry joint on rear centre interior light so that now comes on when car is unlocked.
