Key factors to consider (not listed in your post, I think) are the following:

- details of gearbox status (mileage, what did the flush cover, etc)
- cambelt status (when last done, should have been in last five years, depending on mileage done, did this include the water pump? etc)
- more generally, ownership and service history (main dealer, Audi specialist etc)
- key components: e.g. alloys (18" by the looks of it), interior extras (Bose, etc..)

All of the above are key to determining the interest from enthusiasts - e.g. members of this forum, who are generally more discerning and willing to pay for a good, well maintained example.

The downside being that most of us have already got one that we like, and don't want/can't justify buying another . But generally speaking, we'll make constructive comments about how to…...Oh, and valid MOT and tax (as with other cars) generally helps a lot….

last service was over 3 years ago???

I'd suggest you might want to mention how many miles it done, get a new 12 month MOT, and indicate the sort of price you would like

I think thats is last service in the book, jobs done last year covers all and more you get at a service. If recepts are kept for all the parts fitted it wouldn't put off a car if it didn't have a stamp in the book. A lot of cars of that age would have stopped going to the garage for work if the owner is able and or willing to service.

It's had most the service items done, belts and box, brakes. Without an MOT is a risk to buy so that would knock it's value. It would add a few hundred pounds at least with a new one. I'm just thinking i'd be using that as a leaver to drop the price loads.

Hi There,

Location helps. Current mileage too.

Oh and the images don't seem to want to work!

BTW What engine is is ??? It's not a 40 valve perchance.....I was after a newer (02ish) car but....I have a dead 2000 40v s8 and could be tempted!

*MINE*

Just drove 90 miles back from London and i'm glad to be back in an S8 after borrowing my dads 2.5 x-type estate!

Needs a couple of bits of paint touch up (laquer above the door handles???) and a headlight washer jet!

Given the drive back you really wouldn't believe that it's a 15yr old car!
