Default A quote from a detailing company..

..."Wash your vehicle in the conventional way using warm soapy water applied with a sponge or soft brush"

It's in an section for an in-line deionising water filter that costs £55!

And they also sell loads of stuff to get rid of the swirl marks caused by your sponge or brush!

I use a bass broom and washing up liquid to keep my Audi swirl free

Joking apart I still know some people who do use their yard brooms to wash their cars. Seems to be a popular passtime amongst Range Rover owners, Along with trying to get their Rangies to break the soud barrier along twisty single track country roads
