Boot release not working
My battery went flat the other day and i had to jump it off a mates car. Since then my remote voot release doesnt work.
The button on the drivers door does nothing Somtimes the key release works Sometimes the boot doesnt unlock with the rest of the car and im forced to use the key in the lock Sometimes the button to close will lower the boot but it doesnt actually catch, sometimes its fine. Im thinking its something to do with the catch? But surely that would mean the problem is always there not just sometimes....

Did you get any fault codes?
My dad had the same issue on his Touareg, we just recoded the boot options and it started again.

That's where I would start.
Two important points here to make as recently we've had few discussions across different threads about batteries, VCDS etc. 1. How useful VCDS cable is, plus money it saves you. 2. When battery starts playing up, just change it!! Dead battery=no joy + possible problems afterwards.
