S8 Exhaust Mod
The V10 S8's have 2 exhaust valves which open at higher rpm in sports mode.
On the R32's they also have these. So after a bit of testing today, the difference is the S8 valves open at higher RPM, where the R32 valves close at higher rpm. So we can't just pull the vacuum hoses as they are by default shut. So with a small amount of wire i've held them open. Sounds superb!! Very impressed Cost about 10p in wire. |

I did this to the exhaust on my XK a couple of years back and it sounded the dog danglies. I do miss the sound of a nice petrol engine
They had a similar system which had a valve opened by a vacum pipe. I sorted that and boy did she make a good sound all the time. Although for cruising it was still very nice. Would love to hear the S8 |

It's bedded in nicely and got a gorgeous sound. Very simular to the Gallardo V10
Cruising isn't an issue at all, still as an S8 should be Has become slightly throatier with the remap too! |

V10 remap
Hi a8-doc
Could you tell me who dud your remap and what impact it had. I have a low speed stutter on cold start (air pump?) but a lovely linear delivery which disguises just how fast it is going. Forever hitting speed limiter! Sort of reminds me of my second ever car, a mini cooper 1071s which revved like hell, unlike 1275s of later days. Like a turbine, but without the bark of the v10. Hard to describe, but unmistakeable. Cheers Richard. |

Hi Richard,
Done my myself (Big Fish Tuning) and improved the midrange a touch and sharpened it up. I can remove the Speed limiters as well Cheers!! |
