Default Slight departure from 8's

Well, I picked this up today. 2.8 Quattro Manual. 39k documented history etc. Went to see it last night & couldn't resist.........

Bit of a departure from the 8 but I absolutely love it. Even smells new inside!

Wow! That looks clean

Pretty much the exact same model was my first exposure to a 'fast' Audi back when these were new - was doing an article testing sunroof and window safety cutouts for a well known car magazine and we had a shed load of flash and not-so-flash motors delivered. Got to drive some round the local area and remember preferring the A4 over the equivalent 3-series at the time

Looks nice on the 9 spokes too - is it typical poverty spec, as most of these seem to be?! Not even sure if parking sensors were an option on these early ones. I know my folks recently scrapped S plater was an 'SE' but had cloth trim and wind up rear windows lol

That B5 actually looks like new. I've found that facelift A4's tend to look fresher than the equivalent S4. Most S4's have been beat on pretty good, and it often shows.

Almost poverty spec i suppose. Manual cloth seats with leccy lumbar, concert sounds with 8 disk charger, leccy windurs & mirrors, single zone climate, spanking clean unused spare wheel & ashtrays, every stamp in the book (every year on the button) has the corresponding detailed invoice.... landed TBH .
