I went a few years ago, when it was possible to get access to the building in your picture.

I was there in July, it was the start point of the 'Rusty Rex' banger rally I signed up for. You can get to the top of the tower if you don't mind climbing a little.

Reims - Interlaken - Bormio - Val d`Isere - Nice. Although our plans to arrive in Monaco and stay in Nice on the Friday evening unfortunately coincided perfectly with a major terrorist attack (a very lucky escape I guess) so everyone went their separate ways at Val d`Isere.

it looks a little more run down from when I was there, checked the date and it was 2006. The pavilion had been freshly painted then and I see the roof is now missing from one of the structures that was still in place in 2006, see my picture above taken from inside the top floor.

Shame to see some things still decaying.

Cool place, did you stock up on Champagne on your way through?

Passed there a few years ago on the Crumball Rally, locals still drive like nutters through there though

Was just looking back at my photos, God I wish I was there right now instead of rainy, dreary north LDN.

We should organise a forum champagne run next summer!
