RIP Carrie Fisher
I just heard that it's been confirmed that Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia herself, has died. She was aged only 60 and is survived by her mother Debbie Reynolds and her daughter Billie Lourd.
RIP Carrie, you'll be missed.

I remember watching Star Wars Episode III and ***SPOILER ALERT*** scoffing at the end when it's said that Padme simply lost the will to live, having felt like she'd lost Anakin. The notion of dying of a broken heart seemed ludicrous to me.
How life has imitated art in this case, where Leia's mother in real life has passed, seemingly from a broken heart. 2016 has been a tough year.

Had news yesterday that one of my old Army buddies has passed. I've lost five close Army colleagues this year.
