Mine isn’t a black interior. The leather is silver grey but the trim is largely platinum. I’ve just ordered some Plti-kote paint to se how that works.

I don’t want one. I might do but I haven’t actually checked if it lights up or not. So I’m going to assume it still works fine. They are Schrodinger’s buttons. Until I am aware of their function the lights are both alive and dead

Ford Capri Laser: noisy, slow, thirsty, bouncy, no buttons but it always sounds like it’s REALLY trying and I can’t help but chuckle when it parps and boings along. And people of a certain age stare at it with a wistful look in their eyes that clearly says…I had one of them. And I sold it because of the kids

I've read in various places that a US product by a company called SEM is the go-to paint for interior parts. It's called SEM Color Coat.

https://www.semproducts.com/product/...roduct-details
(there's a video at the bottom of that page)

The problem may be getting it in Europe and then matching one of the 50 colours to the interior parts of the car (if possible without custom mixing).

http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/attachmen...1&d=1675069519

I've not tried it myself and judging by this photo there may be a bit of a sheen to the final result compared to the completely matt finish we are used to. But I think that even if there was a sheen that couldn't be eliminated by another spray in the SEM range, it may still look better on some trim pieces than the scratches etc. that we are used to.

If anyone wants more info I can ask on the Facebook groups to see if anyone has found exact or "close enough" matche to our trim colours.

I've just remembered that ages ago (May 2014!) I decided to colour both the grey handbrake grip and subsequently the grey plastic cover over the lever to match the cream interior, using Woollies products for both.

It's still looking good nearly 9 years later, so I'll probably just do the same thing to that panel, i.e. recolour it all with Woollies treatment which I still have.

This is what it looked like back then, the seats have been professionally cleaned and restored recently so are actually an even better match now.

The thread about it is here: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8167

What colour SEM spray did you use, Dean? I think mine’s the same colour as your photos

Ive checked out Halford's Camouflage Khaki Matt and its an excellent match for Twist but is more matt than the original. Ive touched up the scratches so far but will probably spray the whole unit. The difference in finish will not be noticeable given that its not adjacent to any other trim pieces.

Sorry Jim, I've not used the SEM myself. Although I'd like too. Those photos were from a post on Facebook over a year ago by a US owner.

Given that fact I've gone down the Woollies route again, quite pleased with the result.
If you look VERY closely you can see faint evidence of brush application vs spray, but not once it's fitted. Feels nice too.

Thanks for the feedback

If anyone has any issues with their switch after receiving it back, please let me know. I have tested every single one of them in my car, but you never know
