Default re-designed output flange

The guys in the States always get the cool pictures first. Here is one of the new output flange that they say cures the chronic rear output seal leaking problem. Now I'll have to get one of these

better post with seal pictures as well

and a related audiworld thread

Great stuff, Goran.

My is not leaking yet, but it's a question of time when it'll start.

Nomination for sticky.

I think mine is starting to leak, I remember somebody got aftermarket seal from somewhere by dimensions after Audi supplied did not fit. I would be interested in dimensions so I can order one for mine so that I do not have to take it apart measure seal, order new and wait for it with car in bits.

I just had mine replaced with new flange & seal. The previous workshop managed to put in the new seal with the old flange (so I didnt measure it, you need the old seal dimensions). This forceful fitting broke the new-type seal which is not designed to work with the old flange.
Either get an old seal or go to a place you trust and make sure they get the new flange and new seal.
