Any idea what the special tool for this is?
I'm assuming it'll be in a decent mechanics standard kit
It is indeed an extension bar to a socket for an M8 hex nut.!

well....seeing as it is only two weeks old the dealers fitting the bill as i think the warranty company who i paid extra for that extra piece of mind would be totaly ****ed off to find that the dealer had sold me a car with a dodgy handbrake....

Turns out the callipers have seized on the piston from the handbrake....cost............£226 each from Audi, might aswell fit new discs and pads while there off..

Dealers got some and he`s paying a local garage to fit them as he`s 175 miles away..
Now my next dilema...ive brought some yellow stuff pads...are they all right to use on normal discs..
Also...i have a slight oil drip coming from under the car....gonna get the garage to looky see when its in next week for the callipers....any ideas for common faults

An oil leak from the front of the engine could be the oil pressure switch, less than a tenner from Audi or £2 from GSF and its easy to fit a new one. It could also be the rocker/cam cover gaskets which are about £60 for new ones and an Audi only part, the procedure for changing them is documented on Audipages and looks pretty straightforward.

Agree with Singh. One other area to lok for is perished breather hoses. One at the front and 2 at the back. They are easy to spot once the plastic covers are off and there is a how-to here.

MMMNNNN...last week when i drove her back from exeter i pulled off the m4 and smelled burning oil....OMG... was my first thought,,,anyways when i looked under the bonnet i took the covers off and yes the hose had perished...quick fix radiator hose,,£6.00....1 Week later audi hose £38.00....

As to the leak im hoping whatever it is will be covered under my warranty.....

Just won another key fob as ive only got one with the car....right code ..£40.00...ordered another key..£3.99...and then a quick trip to timpsons..and then a pricey trip to Audi...
