RNS-E And TV Tuner In '01 S8

My '01 S8 has the factory RNS-D and TV tuner with no phono inputs. I have fitted the Kufatec interface, that allows additional inputs to be plugged in.

My question is this - can RNS-E be fitted, whilst retaining the current TV tuner?

No, mate. RNS-E won't recognise RNS-D TV Tuner.

But I think you can reuse the adaptor for your AV1 and AV2 inputs with new RNS-E TV Tuner

I thought for your current RNS-D tuner you have purchased adaptor ("Kufatec interface") that allows for classical audio/video connectors. This adaptor looks approximately like this:



You will be able to reuse that adaptor with new RNS-E hybrid TV tuner.

BTW, when you do the upgrade to RNS-E and RNS-E TV Tuner you can reuse old cable, but not the connectors from both sides of the cable:
