Hi Guys
the top 2 lines of my rear demister are the only ones to work so i know there is power getting to it. Dose anybody know how to check or fix this problem?

I have just the same problem with mine. Been that way since I have had the car. I can see from the outside where the glass has come away from the laminate. Its very slow to clear the screen and when it does it's only the top two lines and if I'm lucky the two bottom ones.

Depends which kind of demister you have. If it is painted one on the inner surface of the window you might be able to repair broken traces with silver paint. If it is built in barely visible lines inside the glass then only option is new glass. I have the one with built in heater inside of glass so out of luck. It is only about 1/3rd working from the middle up on mine.

i took the trim out on saturday this may help somebody

you have to take the roof trim above the back screen off first (it just pulls out but be careful not to break the plastic clips) take the hadle off and the coat hook out. note there is a screw for the coat hook and a bolt behind the hook unit, take the bolt out above the back window pull carefully toward you to release the metal clips and then pull toward the front and its off..

hope this helps
