I've been looking for something like this to make into a coffee table, yes really!
If you were in Hampton Road, Hampton/Hampton Court rather than VA, I'm sure we could come to some arrangement, although it certainly wouldn't involve firearms. As said above, this is a predominantly UK based forum and not the ideal place to sell something for collection in the US. Good luck with the sale!

I know this is a free bump, but you're barking up the wrong tree trying to sell this on here - the engine was never used in an '8 so is of limited interest unless a knackered Passat W8 is sharing garage space
We have perhaps two reasonably active USA based members - the rest of us are in Europe which makes it rather uneconomic to ship. This looks like ebay fodder to me....
