Default Farroad Tyres feedback anyone?

Just came across the Farroad FRD26 245/45 R18 100W XL on eBay.

They are rated A (wet grip), A (Fuel economy) and 68dB by the seller...and incredibly cheap!

Anyone got any experience of them please?

Many thanks,
Daily Mike

What does the tyre sticker rate them at, as opposed to the seller? Reason for asking is that I checked a few sites and none of the Farroads are listed as A,A,68dB or even close.

Sadly, EU Tyre labels are not independently verified or policed, so the less trustworthy the brand, the lest trustworthy the ratings.

If you want a non-deathtrap budget tyre I can vouch for the Three A P606:

I run these on my daily A6 and a friends TT and they are remarkably not awful. We both drive like our hair is on fire from time to time and these tyres perform far better than their price point suggests. I'm on my second set now - about 18K on a mostly-motorway FWD A6. They replaced Goodyear Eagle F1s on the TT and I would say they are 80% as good. They are also reasonably quiet.

I'll probably stick a set on my to-be daily D2 fairly soon too. They are quite a narrow fitment compared to Goodyears, but on stock 18s that's probably immaterial.
