Default Exhaust Flexi-joints. How Do They Fit?

I'd noticed recently what appears to be a small blowout on the exhaust, so did a quick check of it this afternoon. The car wasn't on stands or anything, so just lay on the ground as close as I could get, and with some poking around blindly with my hand (braille mechanics), I have definitely confirmed there is a small blowout on one of the flexi-joints. It releases some of that V8 burble, but unfortunately will be a MOT failure.

I did some searching on here and came across a link that Delboy posted: http://www.pjengineering.co.uk/products.php?cat=20

I also searched around elsewhere to see if anyone else sold them, and now I'm confused. While I was checking out the exhaust, I didn't feel any sort of brackets holding the flexi-joint in place, which is sort of confirmed by the pictures in the site mentioned above. However, other sites list them, but they have clamps on them. One example is as follows:

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/hjs/10286754

Hopefully I can get it up on ramps tomorrow to confirm everything, but if the first link above are the correct ones, the question is how to they fit? Do they just sit in place, and the exhaust being secured in place holds them in situ?

The car in question is an '04 D3 4.2 petrol BFM.

Original exhaust most likely has the flexy part welded on when it was manufactured. The ones in the link are designed to attach onto an exhaust pipe, not sure if there is room to chop yours and clamp these one
