ABS Failure

I also had the same issue on my old D3, right rear wheel bearing which "chewed" the abs sensor and made the dash light up like a Christmas Tree.
Prior to thar event, i had complained a few times to the garage that there was a whine from a bearing or the diff, kept telling me it was tyres....,
Ran the car for 120K more miles after that and never had to replace any of the other 3 Wheel Bearings. I thought they would all have similar lifespan, obviously not.

I didn't damage my ABS sensor; I just needed to get the bearing done.

My car's 12 years old; the rear left was done for the first time 3 years ago [@ 9 years - 172,000 miles] and the rear right just done for the first time [@12 years - 227,000 miles]
