A phone call to your local dealer would establish the cost if you can explain what you need done and why. Audi dealers generally dont like updating mmi unless there is something not working for whatever reason. I was happy to pay an hours labour as they had to order in the update sd card from Audi which I wasnt charged for.

K0770 upwards is all you need to sort the sim/bluetooth issue but you might be best to ask them for the latest version available. There may be futher improvements on later versions that I am not aware of.
Let us know how you get on.

Quick question if you get the latest map update will that include the latest mmi version or do you have to to both mmi update + map update ???

Also is the K0770 the latest update or if have read that there's a K0900 out there too which is best to go for ???

Regards lui

This is from a 66 plate D4 I was loaned today. 0942 seems to be the latest, no idea what has changed.

Nav version and maps are separate updates I think

Nav updates are seperate to mmi, if you use the google earth map function, the maps are pretty much up to date anyway.

I've just gone straight from HN+DAB_K0097 to HN+R_EU_AU_K0900 with a modified firmware pack that's Bose safe on my 2011 A8 (Without Bose might i add).

Mines the 3GP with the HDD, not sure if they all are on the D4 A8?

I followed a great guide by congo on the A5OC forum

It took 1h10m, 13 updates, no errors, and all works fine (i used a SanDisk Ultra SDXC Memory Card 32GB 80MB/s Class 10 UHS-I)

Haven't plugged VCDS in yet, i'll pluck up the courage to do the MAP, then have a go at clearing any faults.

Albert

It's a map type option in Nav but you need Audi Connect via an active sim in the slot between the SD card slots.
