Default What is this?

So I had to swap my battery on the old girl this week and when I removed the old one, I found this in the battery 'well'.

What is it? It has an Audi logo on it, so I'm assuming part of the car .

...it looks a bit like one of the drain plugs for the aircon thingy in the transmission tunnel....

definitely looks like a drain bung of some sort - not seen one off the car, but looks similar to the ones on our A6 that i had to clear in the bulkhead area.

I found some missing trim fittings from the boot side panel under the battery when I changed mine....

It's definitely the 'teat' from the scuttle drain that fits in the wheel arch.

Yup, I concur. It's the squeezy rubber nipply thing that normally lives under the front wheel arch. I have 2 exactly the same on my workbench right now that I pulled off my car a few months ago ... haven't gotten around to refitting them yet.

So, not essential that I dash outside and re-fit immediately then!

Cheers folks.

I tried embedding directly into the post (whereas normally I'd add a link to a hosting site) as I'd recently read it worked on this site (HPSauce posted it up). I may not do it again, as it is a tad on the large side!
