It's got 3D MMI but not TMC

Why not?

The TMC is shown on the screen but is struck out.

I can see it in the Menu but no stations listed.

Is it because I'm in Scotlandshire where we don't get traffic jams?

TMC is incredibly sucky of late.. Mine was fine until I upgraded the MMI software. It now only picks up some local tinpot stations and not Classic FM like it used to.

Mine drops in and out all the time.
