Sounds like the wiring or Connectors from/to Transmission Control Module (J217) are faulty in some way. That;s where I'd start. You can check in VAGcom - Measuring Value Block (MVB) 125+

Could be a fualty TCM possibly otherwise.

Is the VAGCOM connecting to TCU?

That's results from ECU and ABS. Is VCDS not connecting to TCU? Do you get no connetion error when trying to read TCU?

Certainly those codes point to the TCU. It's listed under 'auto-trans' on VCDS (Though you probably knew that).

I'm quite new to VAGCOM. I do I connect to the TCU?

Click the 'auto trans' button when you are in the main menu.

Possibly water ingress in the TCU / connector, or a broken wire.
