Here's the first of my videos taken at the annual meet.

Two things I don't like about it are the noticeable joins between video segments (some dropped frames and others overlapped - have to query this with manufacturer), and not being able to remove the brand name or GPS co-ordinates. I haven't used the video editing software for three years and can't remember how to hide these.

BTW The video runs to just over one hour and is in Full HD, so grab yourself a cuppa and some snacks, turn the volume up and enjoy.

Did you cheat and skip through parts of it?

You wouldn't believe this, but I got six copyright notices from YouTube about the video, four of which were for the same piece of music, and all 'owned' by different companies.

It's even blocked in Denmark because of the first piece of music.

Nice one Sean!

Looks like you were with one of the break-away groups that went the wrong way. That's some crazy route you took through Holmfirth, weaving through all the narrow residential streets!

That first convoy to Treak was a bit of a disaster. We made a last-minute decision to go via Holmfirth to avoid a bad junction at Woodhead but I think Holmfirth split us up into 3 or more different convoys. We lost radio contact with most of the group after that. I think about 8 of us took the planned route in the end. I have no idea which way the rest of you went!

To be honest I had no idea what the preferrerred/planned route was so followed the car in front until separated by a red LandRover at the first roundabout.
Then just made my own way through some farm yards until six cars went across my front at a junction, I couldn't force my way out into them 'cos a silly A3 was blocking me. In fact if he hadn't got in my way I would have cleared that junction before they arrived. I finally caught up with and followed them because they seemed to know where they were going.
But then it happened again after Biggin Hall until Vera shot across my bows at a junction so I followed her.
Then when I left Tissington, a liitle bit early, I saw some 8s travelling against me as I went home.

I just followed the car in front of me. That way I wouldn't get completely lost.

The first roundabout I wrote about . . . . wasn't. It was a left at a give way sign. Got that from Sean's video.
Then at 3.30 on Shean's I took the straight ahead where you all followed the main to the left
At 4.06 on Sean's I came from the right, guess that was the dodgy junction you mentioned.
So by just over four minutes into the run I was on my own. Glad I knew a little bit about the area.
Now I know why I like leaving last.
I did run my dashcam video, but at one and a half hours of misty clouds and hardly any 8s decided it wasn't much use for the forum.

Brilliant Sean, love it. I was in the car behind you so it's like reviewing my journey but with a better view of that dodgy overtake at about 30 odd mins. I love that you captured our trip down the no through road, and discovered that is was in fact a no through road Michaela looked a little stressed yet recovered beautifully.
Despite all that we were by no means the last to arrive at Treak

Yeah, it was a bit of "Will I or won't I overtake?"

We did wonder where you all (ahead of us) went. We got left behind, our leader (David) bailed out as he wasn't sure and I said I know where we are going so follow me; we pottered on and got there first!
