Door Sensors

Hi There,

How do the door open sensors work....I think i may have an issue to do with the lights and them staying off....and it may be connected that the door image seems odd.

They're in the lock mechanism if I remember correctly.

can they be replaced or repaired? or will the whole lock need to be repalced?
