Better octane and less Ethanol, for a few pence more a litre - I'm sure someone could do the maths and it wouldn't overly surprise me if Super actually came out on top here as being actually cheaper

It's going to vary a bit where you shop and what the difference is, but on that 2mpg, with say 10p difference

say 145 vs 155 and 4.5x for a gallon

20mpg at 145 x 4.5 = 652.5 > 32.6p a mile

22mpg at 155 x 4.5 = 697.5 > 31.7p a mile

15p and it's just a touch more expensive at 32.7p

Totally back of a fag packet maths there, but, as i guessed, Super is probably the better buy these days
Last time I filled up - which I must confess was more than a month ago - the price differential was a lot less than 10p. But then again that, as always, was with Tesco Momentum - and Tesco have traditionally not ripped off "premium" fuel buyers as much as Shell and BP

I've done the math and I get 19 to 21 on pre E10 and 25 to 26 on super. Better response and it's kinder to your engine.

So have I. It used to make sense (or at least balance out) to use 99RON long before the latest changes, it certainly does now.
