That's for the phone cable which plugs in to the block under the armrests. Or, used to anyway. Not a lot of use these days, since most modern phones don't fit in to the armrests.

I always liked the use for that slot that one of the old members did, where he rigged it up as an iPod holder. Although finding one of those is quite challenging these days!

So nothing like a USB attachment for a USB music stick that could connect in to the RNS-D unit?

Funnily enough, I was looking at the phone connector yesterday and thinking that it could be reused as a USB charging point An aux input is an interesting idea...

Everything removed from the top

On to the suspension - the left hand side came off no problem since that had been in bits earlier

The right hand side put up more of a fight so the whole lot came off in one chunk

The pinch bolt and tie rod are seized so I'll deal with those later

Everything off underneath now too

Empty wheel wells

Just the four subframe bolts holding it in now so it can come out first thing in the morning

I love a good WITW thread

I still think MJ should have a “D2 Doctor” or “Doctored” badge that could be applied to any vehicle that passes through the workshop
