I have just tried via VCDS to enable the green menu
I went into VCDS selected module 7 head unit then selected adaptation 10 then selected channel 8 and read values Then I get an error "channel 8 not available" Am I doing something wrong? My car is an 2004 A8 4.0 Diesel. Many thanks |

I just re-uploaded the pictures. The last ones weren't clear. What do you mean by "whats the coding on you [07] module?" Cheers |

I would suggest you try that again first with the MMI level at 1110 to see if that's fixed it - as was hoped. Then I'd go on to update the MMI to 5510/5570. Julian PS I see you have said you have a BT module on order. Until you install that, CD2 [BT updates] won't do anything as it won't find any matching ECUs. I would install the BT module and check its level before trying CD2.

Thanks again
I installed CD1 and gone to 5150. I noticed that the battery level function from car>systems has gone which is a shame as I liked that. When I mentioned Bluetooth I wasnt referring to an OEM audi unit. Im going to feed BT through Aux inputs using Av1.. |

you can put the battery level back with vcds
BT is refering to the factory bluetooth telephone not a bluetooth music device ok, so your on 5150, you can stop there or continue im not going to object to Julians reasoning on disk numbers, this has been around for yuears and rumours and info gets passed about and changed you could do it manually and untick the bose before continuing if you get CP its a trip to Audi and a few quid, not that big a deal unloess you get an idiot garage who havent a clue what your talking about

OK, so now I have v5150 installed I wanted to initiate the hidden green menu. I have gone into VCDS inot [07], then [10] adaptation, the entered channel 08, rwad the value which was 0. I then eneterd desired value of 1, test, save, then done go back.
I went back into VCDS and checked the store value of channel and it displayed 1. However when pressing "car" and "setup" together the hidden menu doesnt appear. Have I done something wrong? Do I need to reboot the MMI in some way? |
